Designed as a travelling exhibition building for the BBC this inflatable structure was never realised. It consisted of a working television studio under the dome section with an expanatory exhibition and radio studios in the ‘Y’ shaped area. The concept was to move the exhibition to eight locations around the country.
The structure was to be made of the same fabric as is used in hot air balloons held up by fans creating a slightly higher air pressure inside with a water filled ring around the base to form an air seal..
